Michael Osienski, co-founder and driving force at Ultrasea, boasts an extensive background in ocean engineering and marine systems design. With a rooted academic foundation from the University of New Hampshire, Mike has consistently showcased his engineering prowess, particularly at HALO Maritime Defense Systems. As a Structural Design Engineer, he led pivotal projects, including the design and deployment of state-of-the-art marine gates and barrier systems, and ground-breaking research into the characteristic properties of chain-link copper alloy nets in marine conditions. Mike’s innovation and practical approach to problem-solving are evident in the patents he holds, specifically in open water marine barrier systems and marine gate management.

Beyond his notable technical accomplishments, Mike embodies leadership and community service. He is a proud Eagle Scout and has expanded his engagement with the Boy Scouts of America into leadership roles. His dedication to nurturing the next generation of engineers is clear in his contributions as a judge, mentor, and coach to U.S. First robotics programs.
